Top Skincare Finds At Sephora That Are Actually Worth It
Sephora is a great place to buy a collection of beauty items from makeup, to skincare, and even perfumes. With various brands and an abundant amount of items for sale, which ones are actually worth the purchase? Here are a few of my skincare favorites from Sephora that deliver great results and have a safe ingredient list that are nothing but beneficial to the skin.
Youth to the People Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser
The Youth to the People Superfood Cleanser is an amazing product jammed packed with antioxidants that thoroughly cleanses the skin without stripping it. It is perfect for those with more combination to oily skin because it really penetrates into the pores to clean everything out, while preventing future build up. It has an amazing ingredient list that is really like no other, and it goes above and beyond as a cleanser. Key ingredients marketed in the product are kale, spinach and green tea extract. Kale extract is great for tightening pores, reducing dark circles and promoting collagen production. Spinach extract promotes cell turnover and rejuvenates the skin to slow down the aging process, and green tea extract has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that keeps skin clear. Pretty high on the ingredient list is Vitamin B5, it hydrates the skin and keeps it healthy long term. It also has alfalfa extract which is a skin-soother and helps dull skin look brighter. This product is sulfate-free, alcohol-free, and cruelty-free, it’s non-drying and 100% vegan. The brand as a whole is absolutely amazing, they focus on plant based skincare and are environmentally sustainable in their packaging. For $36, you get 8 ounces of product and I truly think it’s worth it. It’s a quality product that delivers results and comes out of a brand that is working hard to better the world.

The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution
The Ordinary Peeling Solution is an incredibly popular exfoliant amongst the “Tik Tok made me buy it” community. It’s very inexpensive, but it’s probably one of the best chemical exfoliants on the market. It exfoliates the outer layer of the skin to help fight against blemishes and improve skin texture. It has glycolic acid, which is commonly used in treating acne scars and skin discoloration. It also has anti-aging benefits and can really help improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It has Salicylic Acid, which penetrates deep into the pores and is great at fighting against breakouts. And it also has lactic acid, which is great at evening out skin tone, brightening and moisturizing the skin. Because this is a very strong product, it is recommended that you use this product on dry skin at MOST, twice a week and for ONLY 10 minutes. Anything more and longer may cause irritation and increase sensitivity. Overall, it’s an amazing product that truly changes the skin and at less than $8.00, it’s definitely a bang for your buck.

The First Aid Beauty Cleanser is a very gentle face wash that is ideal for those with dry to normal skin. It has a lot of soothing ingredients like Allantoin, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Licorice Root Extract and Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice. It’s vegan, cruelty free, paraben free, alcohol free, fragrance free and essential oil free. It has a nice creamy texture to it and because it has no stripping ingredients, it will not leave the skin feeling dry or tight.

Inkey Oat Cleansing Balm
The Inkey Oat Cleansing Balm is formulated around oat kernel oil and oat kernel flour. Oats have anti-inflammatory, anti-irritant and anti-allergenic properties so it’s good for dry, irritated, inflamed or even eczema-prone skin. It comes in a squeeze out tube, which is different compared to traditional cleansing balms, but that doesn’t take away from the effectiveness of the product. It does a really nice job at melting down all your makeup, even thick eye makeup and lipstains. It’s fragrance free, paraben free and cruelty free and you actually get a good amount of product for the price. It comes with 5 ounces of product for $10 compared to other cleansing balms like the Farmacy or the Then I Met You one, which has less than 4 ounces and is over $30. It’s definitely a steal!

BIOSSANCE Squalane + Probiotic Gel Moisturizer
The Biossance Gel Moisturizer is an extremely lightweight moisturizer that absorbs fairly quickly onto the skin. It is great for those with sensitive, combination or oily skin as it provides effective oil control throughout the day, while still moisturizing. It is formulated with ginger root extract, which has antioxidants and great soothing properties to calm down inflammation and redness, as well as lactic acid, which is a great exfoliant that improves uneven skin tone and very moisturizing. It is rich in squalene, which has skin softening and anti-aging properties and glycerin, which is great for balancing oil production and hydration. It also has Lactococcus Ferment Lysate, which supports the moisture barrier and the skin’s natural renewal process. According to clinical studies done by Biossance, this moisturizer helped decrease redness and rosacea in patients and improved overall complexion. It is, like most high quality products should be, paraben free, sulfate free, cruelty free, alcohol free, fragrance free and essential oil free.
